Business Development Consultant (Finance & Tax)

ESOP Partners, LLC is a third party administration and consulting firm with the mission to provide a liquid business transition solution for owners of closely held businesses to establish, maintain and sustain an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) while maximizing the financial and many other benefits of being an ESOP company through the establishment of a strong employee ownership culture.

ESOP Partners is experiencing exponential growth and is looking to hire a Business Development Consultant (Finance & Tax). The Business Development Consultant is responsible for supporting the company’s sales goals through professional sales techniques and great customer service, maintaining quality relations with existing accounts, and obtaining new business clients within assigned geographical territory.

This is a full time, direct hire and benefits eligible position with GREAT benefits!

Responsibilities:

  • Educates potential clients on financial and tax implications of Employee Ownership
  • Develops maximum sales potential out of assigned geographical territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company’s products and services as well as the competition’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Builds and maintains quality relations with existing assigned accounts and increases account base and volume of sales on a consistent basis.
  • Contacts customers via telephone, email correspondence, social media, or in person by traveling as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass profitable sales goals for the company.
  • Utilizes company leads to expand current client base and follows up on all leads promptly.
  • Assesses quality of offerings and identifies additional value-added services for prospects and current clients.
  • Creates customized proposals to meet specific client requirements in an efficient manner.
  • Stays abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings, and new technologies through available resources.
  • Offers suggestions on marketing techniques to increase ESOP Partners awareness.
  • Maintains updated, organized files on all accounts in assigned geographical territory.
  • Completes and submits weekly sales reports on account activity, outstanding proposals, proposals secured, and proposals lost with complete documentation.
  • Accountable to present an annual sales budget to management for approval. An established approval process will be followed should the budget need to be adjusted throughout the year.
  • Assist in the collection of aging account balances; commissions will only be paid on revenue collected on client balances
  • All other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business, marketing, management, or another related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in finance or tax required
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience.
  • Good working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Teams, and Adobe.
  • Employees will be expected to learn ESOP Partners’ proprietary software: ESOP Revolution.
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
  • Demonstrated financial acumen
  • Experience with negotiating
  • Familiarity with closing techniques
  • Ability to create and administer sales presentations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attentive and timely in responses
  • Great customer service and customer relations skills
  • Ability to work within the framework of ESOP Partners Guiding Principles
